BSNL BIll problem

Last month i changed my 750ul plan to 500C plan. Bsnl made the plan change on 5th of the month. So from 1st to 4th i was on 750ul. Problem is in how they are billing. If my plan changed to 500c from 5th so technically from 5-31st march I should have 1.5gb of free usage for that month right?
I saw in bill that they are charging for all usage even though usage was below 1.5gb for that month, except from 2am -7.59am :S

So far got a bill of 1000 + 500 as rental etc. :@
What the hell is with this company? Any one else can check their account and see if they have been billed for all hours...



these guys are freaking me out now. will change my plan from 500c to 512ul right tomorrow.
 
the portal shows charges like that ; final bill will be different . if you get any problem

with the final printed bill then please contact the accounts officer at your exchange
 
i got final printed bill as 1624/-

stupid bsnl. i wish there was some other isp in my area. unfortunately this is the only company providing internet in my area. :(

No, you will get Free usage of 1280MB(not 1536MB) only.and your rental from 5th onwars will be Rs416/-. Its billed on pro-rata.

Here, they only allow plan change till 1st of every month, so I am afraid you will have to wait for next billing cycle to start.

Heh...BSNL isn't that bad. Their billing is bit flanky(does do some wierd shit) but they clear out all the issues if you ask. most of the time, its ignorance of customers which is responsible for all the problems.I have seen people arguing hard hard, they don't 'download' videos but watch them directly. so it should not be counted towards free download quote :lol:

Take copy of your bill and Meet AO in BSNL office. He will explain the billing to you and also correct the errors(if any)
 
Don't worry BSNL ain't goin to cut off ur connection if u delay paying them!!

one of my friends father works in BSNL and he told me that BSNL is under lot of pressure these days because people are shifting form BSNL to reliance or airtel .......

complain bout the bill @ 1957(that's for my city i suppose ,don't know about ur's)

@everyone, seems i made a mistake and they did too.

1. i was seeing the bill on their website where they did not give breakup. The bill in pdf format download does not work now for some reason...

2. i got hold of the paper bill from my society postbox, and saw that these guys had :

A: added the 1098 for usage and then discounted it till 1.35Gb of usage. discount was of 1068.

B: the remaining usage was counted which turned out to be some Rs 30/.

C: for some reason they added last months bill of 1225 into this bill.

and on next page have asked customers to ignore it if they have already paid.

bill came like this:

for 750ul usage - 97

for 500c usage - 435

total - 532.

adding landline charges it becomes 555 plus tax and it came to Rs 644.

so problem got solved. i just have to pay 644/- now.
 
bsnl billing problems started since they changed their billing format.

I had a 500c+ plan for almost 3 yrs. always had the bill of around 1k.

Since oct,2009 they started sending me bills of 5k. Thought mistake was mine, so made the payment and was careful for the next month.. didnt make any downloads. Again they send me a bill of 3k. finally got it disconnected it.

Now on reliance bb. 300kbps unlimited for Rs649

by the way, bsnl had a offer to win back such customers and offered to waive off the bills.
