im using bsnl braodband 500 home plan(night unlimited) with UT300R2U white modem.....
OS windows XP SP2
my internet connection have no problem except in torrent downloading.....

i was using utorrent 1.8.5 with automatic reboot at 2AM and 8AM....
i was able to get a download speed upto 192kBps(Max) and an avg of 140kBps.....

3 days back i saw a posting by some one that he got abt 300kBps in torrent downloading.....
so i also tried his way by port forwarding.....

since my connection was PPPoE i cant do a port forwarding, increase half open tcpip connections etc.....
so i changed to bridged connection....
but i cant be able to forward a port.....
so i tried some softwares for that(PFConfig, PF-Wizard,UPnP-PF,SPI-PF etc)......
but after that i lost all my speed....
now i getting ony 1 or 2 kBps speed only.....

then i format my system and put a fresh windows XP SP2
and my system is full time connecting when i swith ON modem.....

but still i cant be able to forward a port.....
my utorrent default port no is 611173......

i also tried bittorrent but it also gives me the same 1 or 2 kBps speed only...

can any one please provide usefull ideas to get back at least my previous speed.....

Change ur port no to a 5 digit no less than 65000

use the software VUZE 4 torent dwnld
check ur bsnl router by using esxplorer and examine the dwnsteam loading speed
if it is below 6.1 ur cable is low quality

There is a small pin hole behind your modem ... Press that for a while .. this resets your modem to settings it came with ... Must help you out :)

dude

u can definitely port forward,

try http://192.168.1.1/main.html and go to NAT option there u can enter a new 5 digit port no. and use tcp/udp in drop down option when u entering port.

if u still not finding option to get into the NAT use telnet command in CMD or use third party Telnet software like Putty or u can search other one in google.

i hope, ur prob will bw solved, all the best!
