Hi Guys,

After month and half of struggle, I have got BSNL Broadband home. I have DLINK DSL-2520U ADSL Modem and ASUS RT N13U Router.
The problem is when I am viewing certain sites.
1. The image or thumbnails on sites do not open. Like the avatar on TE does not open, instead shows a "X".
2. Certain websites open up in IE but not in Firefox like TE. Never opens on FF but opens in IE but without images or thumbnails sometimes.
3. I googled up hot to configure BSNL connection, but the google results does not open showing "Internet cannot display the webpage".
4. I need enable the Wi-Fi too using the above router. I have connected the LAN out from system to the router which will be my client. I have connected the LAN out from Modem to Router. Am I Correct?

Help me out guys. Have been without access for too long now.
djmykey, @Metalspree

TIA.

I do not use BSNL and i feel its ISP problem and not a modem or router problem.

Try removing the router , connect laptop or PC directly to modem and check if the same is happening

Have the same issues. In configuring Ipv4, I have obtained the IP address and DNS settings automatically.

Try changing DNS settings from your Modem Configuration page (192.168.1.1 most probably). BSNL DNS servers acts weird sometimes. There are several websites I can't open with BSNL DNS but they are working like a charm with OpenDNS and Google DNS.

I am a noob in Networking. That means my preferred DNS in Network and Sharing Center under IPv4 would be the DNS address which you have provided?
What about alternate DNS?

I am not sure if its a DNS issue. Do a ping test and speed test too check if the line is jittery. If not then it maybe DNS or your machine itself. Try to get another machine and check it the issue still persists.

The issues relating to Image not displaying is sorted out.
But TE nevers opens on Firefox but opens in Google Chrome. Able to open up all sites without any issues on Chrome.
Now, the other thing is how do I configure my Asus N 13U to enable WiFi with DLink modem.

Now, the other thing is how do I configure my Asus N 13U to enable WiFi with DLink modem.

1. Configure your DLink Modem to auto-dial.
2. Configure your Asus N 13U for normal WiFi access.
3. Note that the Modem, WiFi router and all your WiFi and LAN clients should be in the same network. For e.g. 192.168.100.x
4. In the DHCP settings on the WiFi router, give the DLink modem's internal IP (generally 192.168.1.1) as router / gateway IP.
5. You can use the same modem's internal IP as DNS too, or else you can give any public DNS server.
6. Then connect to WiFi and start browsing.

Regarding your TE & FF issue, check if you have done some settings in the network section in FF specifically for TE.
That might be messing with TE.
