To configure autodial
1. Open Network Connections.
2. On the Advanced menu, click Dial-up Preferences.
3. On the Autodial tab, select the check box next to the location where you want to enable autodial, and then click OK.
Notes
• To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.
• Autodial is enabled by default on Windows XP. In support of this feature, the Remote Access Auto Connection Service is started by default. For more information, click Related Topics.
• Autodial maps the resources that are required to initially make a connection, but does not map resources once the connection is made.
