BSNL DSLAM chipset?

Hi,

Does anybody know what is the chipset of the BSNL DSLAM?

I am planning to buy a modem and was wondering whether i should go with TI or Broadcom chipsets. The modem i am planning to buy is the Netgear DG834 which comes in two flavours version3 (TI) and version4 (Broadcom).

Using the same chipset would make the connection more stable. The modem will sync better leading to less dropped connection.
 
wow that's new for me...
but even if that's true there is no single model used all across by bsnl.
so you need to actually check the dslam near your house for the exact model. Even that can be changed from time to time if the current one fails so what then....
I don't think the chip set matching would matter much... but again I'm not totally sure...
