BSNL EVDO in Bangalore?

Am stuck at home with no internet connections :P
Lately I'm hearing about evdo... 2Mbps and just 550? is it true, if yes whats the catch? How do I get one?
I remember gaurish's site having FAQs but that site is banned at office, and so is all other sites with evdo info :(

EDIT : Crap, no EVDO, called up n asked. says stocks coming only by January :(

Home plan 500 or 750 unlimited? both have 12.5% extra right?

I'm out of home from 9 to 7. browse from 8 till 1 everyday. that 2-8 dloading looks tempting :D All my dloads will be from torrents public trackers.
