BSNL EVDO Query! Need some inputs.

I am fed up from my BSNL 512kbps plan and Thinking about getting BSNL EVDO also.
But I have used my friend's BSNL EVDO at my place some years back and it only works properly at terrace of my house. Tower distance is at least 15kms from my place.
What kind of modem is suggested for me? Would using an external antenna would improve the signal or I should keep myself satisfied with my current ADSL Broadband.

Need some inputs, Please help!

In my opinion, wired broadband would serve you better.

Thanks for your input. So, I would have to keep using low speed wired broadband until BSNL launches some better plans.

Since you are quite far away from the tower, you will get erratic speed. That is why I recommended a stable wired connection.
Is cable broadband available in your area?

Yes, I guess because they advertise about cable broadband connection in local channels. But I don't think their service would be much reliable so have never inquired about it.
