ihave been using it for roughly 1 month
for starting u have to use it for atleast 3 month
the speed is pathetic ,max i got till date is1mbps I live within 5km of the BSNL tower still i sometime dont get tower.avg download speed i get in torrent is 5kbps.other http download speed vary from 8-40.
In one line it is pathetic

I would recommend you to visit BSNL EVDO CLUB - Unofficial Website which has more information about BSNL EVDO than any other site in the internet. Even their forum has many members and discussions are going on. Join their forum and its worth.

Speed at 921.6 kbps connectivity while using at home.
This thing is awesome for normal browsing, downloading from http or file hosts like rapidshare and viewing video sites like youtube where it consistently gives 100 kbps speeds.
Sucks for utorrent and still has connectivity problems in rural areas. They are currently billing me only Rs 400 coz but the actual cost is about Rs 700. If you use it only in good range areas and not for filesharing it is still a worthwhile alternative to the broadband packages.
But yeah, it is pretty inconsistent which is why the only worthwhile plans around are still broadband.

You could use a download manger such as Flash get, and you surely see and increase in speeds comparing to in broswer speeds.
