BSNL frequent disconnections

I'm sure this is a familiar problem, but the internet light on my modem doesn't stay on for longer than five minutes in the last few days.

I've complained to BSNL, but is there anything I can do, perhaps some router settings I can change to solve this problem?

My wireless router+modem is Linksys WAG120N.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, we are also facing the problem from few days, probably because of the plan upgrade that they are doing.

It's stable now as of today and speed upgraded

Your SNR( signal to noise ration) margin must be very low, leading to frequent disconnections. Check your landline cable.
 
I am also having the same problem since last two weeks ... i did compliant .. technicians says evrything ok frm their side ... any suggestions appreciated
 
I am using BSNL for last 5 years. Till last year, I faced this problem. Even in my case the BSNL guys checked the connection etc and said everything was okay from their side. Then finally sometime last year, I changed my DLink modem to BSNL's. And miraculously the connection rarely (like once in few months) disconnects now.

Customer care tells that some of unlimited plans' users are facing it .

My problem was solved though (the very next day) .

Try talking to them .

If you are using any of revised Ul plans then that might be one of reason .
