Has BSNL revised its rates for GPRS/EGDE plans? Last time UL GPRS on Prepaid was @ 230 RC. Now, it is @ 549 RC :O . They have sharply dropped pay per download rates but hiked the orginal rates. BSNL seems no more cost effective now.

Plan 3 with 4GB @ 108 RC seems to me better than 2GB @ 97 RC of Airtel.

If the cost was for 3G UL i would have happily paid for it but for normal EDGE 549 is simply ridiculous :@

It is not better. Anytime usage is only 300MB and night is 4GB which is a deal breaker. Airtel is 2GB anytime usage.

Can you even finish 2GB monthly through your phone ? I can no way come lose to that limit. I wish there was a plan for 1GB at say Rs.40

Yeah i would also opt if such a plan did exist :)
 
BSNL has some other plans also(circle specific) for eg, The following is for karnataka circle

2GB/30 days/ 98 Rs

100MB/3 days/14 Rs

Unlimited/30 days/274 Rs
 
becoz of the slow speeds and lower bandwidth usage ( dl limit) i switched to docomo, 2GB pm for 48 rs pm. Good enough and have some of the best calling rates too, 1 ps for 2 sec with per sec billing. So docomo is theorotical ideal service provider.
