Hi all, recently from the past week or so, I have been unable to open some sites (legit of course) like gmail, yahoo, kotaku, etc. Fifty percent of the time they do open but otherwise I have to reload the page multiple times to view it. The error I usually get is "server not found" and have to then refresh it. I have tried both Firefox and IE.

Would using OpenDNS help? (I don't know what it is, someone recommended it to me)

Any help would be appreciated.

Will using OpenDNS affect the ports forwarding which i have done in my modem?
I have opened a port required by an application, will i have to change anything related to that after using OpenDNS?

alternately ...you can also try google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) .... it has less ping than open dns (less ping == faster site loading).....

I am also using BSNL.. I face the same issue with BSNL. Everytime I strugle to get in to website mentioned above.. I have also tried global DNS.. even now I am having the same issue. :(
