if you are a Linux user and want a 3G datacard provider, Try BSNL. they seem to support Linux now. just found out instructions for using bsnl datacard on Linux
This is a good news alteast for me, as I still remember few years back in 2006. When I tried to get dataone broadband installed on my GNU/Linux powered desktop, babu who came home for install. kept asking where is "my kumpoter". when I told him I don't have windows, its Linux. And hearing that, he ran away.
Further, I had chat with their SDO explaining I don't want to pay for windows License. he gave me a puzzled look and said "What license, just get xp cd and install it". mind it its a Govt Employee promoting piracy!
I even said I can install broadband myself but he refused; saying broadband does not work on Linux. My reply "BSNL own backbone runs on Solaris, you fool!" this wanted I wanted to say but didn't say
Now,
BSNL seems to have a lot of awareness about Linux or MAC, than initial days:clap:
