Try putting a matchstick in along witht he adaptor plug..
I also had that proble, newer modems dont hav it..they hav proper sockets..Im thinking of removing the spike all together as i use dads laptop these days..
@Greeny..Yeah man i know its the fault of those bloody idiots..wen it wasnt picking up the line, they simply said try some other isp..Even went til the area engineer but no go..
And yeah its not the modem thats doing better its the splitter..:rofl:
I changed the splitter to new one its the same story of no dsl link..So they let me keep the old splitter as it was the only one working with the modem..
