I have Win XP SP2 installed in my system (AMD 4000+ X2, 2GB RAM, ASUS HD 4670, 80+500GB HDD).
Recently I'm facing the following problems:
(i) During startup sometimes the system refuses to start - shows the Win XP progress bar continuously. However, restarting the system and selecting "Last known good configuration" works. Also, restarting in "safe mode" works.
(ii) Also, the system occasionally gives BSOD with the message "Kernel_data_inpage error" (Stop 0x0000007A).
What I've done:
(i) Defragmented the whole drive including the pagefile as per recommendation given in some other site. Currently pagefile is set to 2.5GB
(ii) Ran "sfc"
(iii) Reinstalled windows twice.
(iv) Checked the HDD with chkdsk and Seatools.
None of these seems to help. So, pls. suggest me guys what may be the problem here  .
