Well , today morning after the release of ATi catalyst 8.12 i installed it just to see how my copy of GTA would react to that.

It was running fine , i played it for like 15-20 mins.

Then in the evening when i turned my PC on to play TF2 , it crashed .

Earlier it was giving me some file's integrity issue and then it told me that my dustbowl.bsp ( a map file in TF2 ) differs from that of the server. . this all started to feel weird then all of a sudden . . BOOM . . the comp crashed giving me a BSOD saying "

"An attempt was made to write to a Read Only Memory"

So i thought that this was an issue with the driver not being compatible with TF2. . so installed the stable 8.11 drivers over it ( not uninstalling the previous ones ) . But the crashing has never stopped since then. . it randomly crashes within minutes of the PC booting up or mostly while i watch something.

It definitely crashes when i start any game. .so it may be a graphical issue , maybe.

Basically i need help. . i googled it but couldn't figure out the exact cause.

Please just help me out with this,:( :( :( :(

I have tried replugging the RAM sticks, and all temperatures are within limit.

See if you can disable "DEP" Data Execution Protection... or "NX" No Execute flag... search for DEP for your OS online...

Assuming you specifically ran a mem test to verify your RAM is okay... not just "replugging" it in...

Can u please post the Technical information , i mean here will be some numbers on the screen like 0x000000XX post the same.We might come to know where is the exact problem.

Didnt run the memtest:no: . .will do now and post back.

Just googled the various memtest programs. . they all require a floppy drive which i dont have.
