Well , today morning after the release of ATi catalyst 8.12 i installed it just to see how my copy of GTA would react to that.
It was running fine , i played it for like 15-20 mins.
Then in the evening when i turned my PC on to play TF2 , it crashed .
Earlier it was giving me some file's integrity issue and then it told me that my dustbowl.bsp ( a map file in TF2 ) differs from that of the server. . this all started to feel weird then all of a sudden . . BOOM . . the comp crashed giving me a BSOD saying "
"An attempt was made to write to a Read Only Memory"
So i thought that this was an issue with the driver not being compatible with TF2. . so installed the stable 8.11 drivers over it ( not uninstalling the previous ones ) . But the crashing has never stopped since then. . it randomly crashes within minutes of the PC booting up or mostly while i watch something.
It definitely crashes when i start any game. .so it may be a graphical issue , maybe.
Basically i need help. . i googled it but couldn't figure out the exact cause.
Please just help me out with this,
I have tried replugging the RAM sticks, and all temperatures are within limit.
