hey guys i just need a little help from you in buying a new cabinet fo my system !

First off i don't have a ultimate system as you all know and talk about it but still its my system, i just want to show him my gratitude, more like a payback or something since it has given me (taught) me so many things !

My system specs :

Motherboard - Intel 945GCNL
CPU - Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz
RAM - 2Gb(2 stick) transcend 600mhz
HDD - 500GB and 250GB Seagate
OD-
GPU - Xvidia 8400GS (512mb) only for watching movies
Cabinet - Zebronics with stock smps

Straight to the topic. couple of weeks back my smps gave up. so i thought of buying a new one with a new heat sink for my cpu since it has been 3 years old. Was searching on the net and came across Cooler master extreme power plus390w and then i came across this forum i saw a lot cabinets with price tag being low.
Do i'm thinkin of buying a new cabinet ?
My budget is around 4k !
Is there cabinet for that kind of money or shall i stick to buying a new smps and heat sink?
System usage 24*7 !

As for your question there are loads of cabinets+PSU combo that can be got for <4k.
If there is no issue with the CPU temperature then you can continue using the stock CPU cooler. No need to buy a new one!
For cabinet and PSU i would recommend the following,
Cabinet: CM Elite 310 ~ 1.5k-1.6k
PSU/SMPS: Corsair CX400 ~ 2.5k (High quality PSU. 80+ certified and 3 years warranty)

Also since you are new to the forum your first few threads and posts will be moderated. So wait for sometime after posting for mods to approve so that it becomes visible to all.(Please dont repost)

Yeah as long as you are not over-clocking your system the stock heat-sink-fan (HSF) solution should do fine, but if you intend to go for a new HSF solution, look towards the Cooler Master Hyper TX 3 OR Sycthe Katana 3. Best solution for high tempratures (in your case) -- put a fresh coat of thermal paste, if you are not sure how to do this -- Thermal Paste and How To Use It.

Hope this helps.

CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 review -- Cooler Master Hyper TX 3 review.
Scythe Katana 3: Same slant, new version | silentpcreview.com -- Scythe Katana 3 review.

To purchase these try to get in touch with the IT Wares, they have a front here on TE as well, I'll give you his profile http://www.techenclave.com/members/theitwares.html, PM them and they should be able to give you all the details, pricing, shipping etc.

And for power supply please go for a FSP Saga II 400W over Cooler Master eXtreme Power series. A bit extra power reserve for the future -- TheITWares - One Stop for all Gizmos!FSP Saga II 400W Power Supply - TheITWares.

thnk u fo that !! i have a clear thot now,.. !
listen guys.. i have decided to go fo SU/SMPS: Corsair CX400 ~ 2.5k as said by dark angel but the cabinet ! i already a which luks excatly same as Cabinet: CM Elite 310 ~ 1.5k-1.6k i'm left with 3k in ma pocket for the cabinet can u suggest one fo that kinda money it'll be really helpful... !
if u don't mind.... list all the cabinets priced under 3K !

okay i hav to go ahead with it.... i gus... inspite of its odd look :-) !

wher can i buy tis 1 in the s.p road b'lore ?? n i need to buy 5 120mm fans for it as well... n a crosair CX400 ????

i more ques can i add top two (120mm) fans properly without disturbing the cpu heat sink ???

1) Stop using SMS language -- TechEnclave Community Rules, it is hard to understand and can miscommunicate an idea.

2) In S.P. Road go to Golccha Inter-trade, he is the sole dealer of NZXT products here, for fans get these ones -- SickleFlow 120 2000 RPM Blue LED - Cooler Master ~ 400/- apiece.

3) That purely depends on the size of the heat-sink-fan (HSF) solution, if you use stock Intel / AMD HSF then you need not worry about the clearence issue. The Cooler Master Hyper TX 3 OR Scythe Katana 3 also should not pose any problems.

Hope this helps.

okay.. hey sorry to be asking this... Does the cooling fan (Sickle Flow 120 2000 RPM Blue LED - Cooler Master) how long will it hold up??? I'm guessing may be a year or so, on a 24*7 usage.. !

due what about the crosair PSU Corsair CX400 you guys sure about the 3 year warranty on this one !!!! where can get this from..?

The corsair cx400 has 3 years warranty. Most shops keep the cx430 instead of the cx400 these days and try to sell it off as a newer model, whatever you do dont get the cx430. If you dont get it locally you can get it from theitwares, I recently got 3 from him for 2.4k.

I've used both, the elite 310 and the nzxt gamma. The gamma is definitely much better(airflow, connectivity n cable management wise) but also costs more, around 2100 last time i checked.

You wont have any issues with the hfs by mounting 120mm fans on the top of the gamma .

Get the cooler master 4x120mm fan kit for 800 bucks, it will suffice. It should hold up for more than a year easily.

They are silent and have the worst CFM rating I've experienced, it makes no difference if OP adds these, they are only good if he wants to collect dust. The SickleFlow I've been using one on my Cooler Master Hyper 212+ for the past 6 months and till now, no sound, no airflow problems, just a bit dusty. 90% of the Cooler Master Blade Masters' performance at half its price + cool looking LED.

Full-fills my thrill, makes my cabinet cool and cools it well to.

This link should help, bruv if you plan to acquire online. TheITWares - One Stop for all Gizmos!CORSAIR CMPSU-400CX 400W ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified SMPS

In S.P. Golccha has a nice stock of this SMPS at all times, so no need to worry but he'll be a bit expensive ~ 2700/-

He can use the cooler master's as case fans, you get 4 fans for 800 bux :). No point in wasting moolah on case fans, he can get the sickleflow fan for the aftermarket heat sink if he is planning to getting one.

yeah dude i'm planning to get a new heat sink (stock one) as well......!!! I checked with A.r computers in S.p road they said it costs rs400 for a new Intel heat sink..!!

I'm getting a Nzxt Gamma and corsair cx400 :-) !!

A new intel stock heat sink does not require an external fan to mount over it. It's better not to get a new intel heat sink, if you insist on getting one then get something good, check out this or this, else get some good thermal paste and use it with your current heat sink.

^^

In S.P. Road go to Aashirwaad OR Golccha Computers, they have the widest possible range of options and find them better places to deal these stuff, if you want better cooling performance look at Cooler Master Hyper TX 3 as you don't look you are over-clocking, stock Intel HSF's are worse than AMD counterparts.

Overclock3D :: Review :: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus & TX3 Heatsinks :: Conclusion, I think I told you this already, if you still want to duke it out with stock Intel HSF don't change the thermal paste as the thermal pad given by default is good on stock settings.

Else clean the old HSF and as tejo suggested get a good CPU paste, preferably Arctic Silver or comparable.

Thermal Paste and How To Use It -- How to apply TIM to any new HSF set-up.

Theitdepot - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound 3.5 Gram -- Arctic Silver compound, hope this helps.
