Buffalo 1TB USB 3.0 @ 3700

I tried at two machines, two OS and none could format it.
I mailed seller that it has gone bad and asked for replacement.
Next I found and tried the format utility given by the OEM and it finally got formatted. I did a file copy and speed was good. checking it for bad sectors now.

Update: USB 3.0 speed is 100+ mbs.

I got it for 3700 (same coupon as mentioned in OP) from ebay.
