Hard Disk : Seagate 2TB 7200.12 rs.6200

SMPS : FSP SAGAII 350w Rs.1500

MOBO : Biostar A780L Rs.2000

CPU : AMD Athlon II X2 240(2.8Ghz, 2 cores, 2MB Cache) Rs.2800

RAM : Corsair 2GB DDR2 800MHz Desktop Ram - VS2GB800D2 - Rs.2300

You can extend your budget get a better motherboard with similar chipset from Gigabyte.

Thx bro :)

- Can i go with 1gb ram now and later upgrade when required? Is 2gb ram required for home server?
- should i go for 1 x 2tb hdd or 2 x 1tb hdd? reason? Also i came across many cases regarding frequent hdd failure... Is Seagate hdd better compared to WD???
- how is FSP SAGAII compared to corsair? wil there be any difference in power consumption between two? also should i go for 350watt or 400watt??
- is this mobo good enough? any other recommendations?

-Getting a 2GB stick is better as u can later upgrade to 4GB if required as the mobo has only 2 slots...

-Getting 2x1TB would be slightly more expensive and consume more power... again its better to buy 2TB as u can get another later if required... I prefer seagate as their performance is slightly better...

-Corsair is obviously better than FSP but its not required for ur rig and it is very expensive as well.... 350w should be fine as ur not running a video card....

I would suggest the following:

Intel E5300 - 3k

Gigabyte G41MT-ES2L (G41Chipset,DDR3) - 2.6k

2GB Corsair/Kingston DDR3 RAM - 2.6k

2 x 1TB HDD Seagate - 7k

FSP SAGAII 350w 1.5k

Total: Rs16,400/-
