hi everyone
i have been a casual gamer on my ps3 for a long time and have been using my laptop for computing needs. but when finally when my ps3 died, i thought of it as a good opportunity to set up a gaming rig. so i guess i am in need of good advice for the same.

so here goes the details in the prescribed format

3. Q: Which hardware will you be keeping (component name - component brand and model)
NA

4. Q: Which hardware component are you looking to buy (component name). If you have already decided on a configuration then please mention the (component brand and model) as well, this will help us in fine tuning your requirement.

haven't decided on other components..

5. Q: Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component

1. Yes, will upgrade the following within 12 months
2. add another vga card for a cf setup ( if i can do the next upgrade :) )
3. upgrade to u2711 for 2560X1440 gaming ( may take a year or more.. and is it advisable to buy future proof components for the same )

6. Q: Where will you buy this hardware? (Online/City/TE Dealer)
1. delhi
2. Open to online purchase

7. Q: Would you consider buying a second hand hardware from the TE market
1. Don't mind

8. Q: What is your intended use for this PC/hardware
1. Gaming
2. Browsing
3. Desktop Processing
4. HTPC
5. Download rig, 24x7 operation
6. Watching HD movies

9. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them and the reason for your preference/dislike.

ok so this is the config i would go for

1)intel 2600k + mobo combo from smc intl

2)nvidia 560 ti or 570

3)a good case is vital so pick something u like but also something with good cable management. here i would suggest the corsair 600t even though it it expensive.

4)8gb ddr3 1600mhx from corsair. u might be able to sqeeze in dominators

5)since u plan on upgrading to cf or sli in the future then pick out the corsair ax850w modular psu

6)a good cpu cooler is vital. a corsair h70 or noctua d14 will be perfect with some good fans

7)get a monitor of you choice. benq has some good monitors

8)again a speaker setup of your choice
