I finally got around finalizing the build spec of my colleague's computer. It'll be a dual boot Windows (Gaming) + Hackintosh (Work) system.
Hardware (current order)
- ASUS Maximus VII Ranger
- 4690K
- Corsair H100i
- HyperX 8x2GB 1866Mhz
- Asus Strix GTX 970
- Corsair RM 750
- Samsung EVO 840 128GB x 3 (Raid 0 for Hackintosh, single for Windows)
- WD 1TB Black
- Coolermaster Storm KB+Mouse (He'll be possibly buying the Mad Catz ones soon, so going for a cheaper variant for now)
- NZXT Source 530 Black
- All sleeved PSU cables (by me, I'll try to teach him
)
The Mid-2015 upgrade will include (will be the same for my ++Shad0wKnight++ builds)
- EK Water blocks for the GPU, CPU.
- 1 More Strix 970
- 2 x 280mm Rads
Will start posting photos as soon as the parts arrive and we begin with the build. This one will take longer than my previous one, as we'll go at it as and when we get time post work.
Until then... you'll have been super helpful with my previous build, with your suggestions and criticism. I hope for the same again.
