I recently got a Canon SX110 IS camera. One of the reasons why I bought this camera apart from the awesome discount was that it can be controlled by computer and even its firmware can be modified to unlock many features. Although I haven't tried hacking my cam yet but I wanted to try out something why I had wanted to do for a long time.
Stop Motion Animation. And I recently bought Bumblebee (action figure) just for this experiment.
So today I tried to make a really small clip of basically Bumblebee moving his head around
Took 141 snaps taken via Remote capture utility of Canon
Used AnimatorDV Simple+ to make the video from the still images.
141 pictures at 7 fps to get a measly 20 second clip out....
So here it is my small video after 5 hours
of running around setting Bumblebee up and taking a snap....
Sample image :
The Remote capture utility allows me to set the aperture (2.8) macro focus, shutter speed and even control zoom.... which helps a lot

This is my first attempt at animation of any kind.... if anyone here knows more about Animation and more specifically stop motion I would really like to learn more and hopefully make something like this one day :ashamed:
