Buy Win 8 and downgrade or stick to Win 7 [and other questions]

Hi guys,

Am getting some hospital management software installed, and they want me to get Win 7. My vendor is suggesting that I buy Win 8 and then downgrade to Win 7. So few questions:

1. Any point in above exercise?
2. If I buy Win 7 - should I buy 32 or 64 bit?
3. I am seeing Win 7 Pro for 9K on Snapdeal, and 13K on Flipkart [it says full pack]. Why the difference? Flipkart also has OEM version for about 9.5K. What is an OEM version.
4. Loading it - is it as easy as loading Win XP used to be? From a bootable CD?

Would really appreciate some help for a newbie.

No point in buying 8 and downgrading it to 7. I have both of them. And I downgraded from 8 to 7 ( a few months after upgrading from 7).
Downgrading means you won't get new key or old is dvd from Microsoft. It means you should go buy a windows 7 pro or home premium DVD and install it over 8 pro. Naturally if you buy the DVD of 7 you will get a key with that which you need to use to activate 7.

About the other points of whether to install 32 bit or 64 bit it depends on the software and amount of ram installed. If you have 8 gigs of ram and install 64 bit version but the software is designed for 32 bit version, then it may or may not work properly. There is a disclaimer in windows terms of not using their is in critical operations in hospitals etc.
