rates at 7 30 delhi np, were 1950 for kingston lowest i could find , smc was 1975. transcend had shot up to 2650 rs i got a shock. dynet n twinmoss were not able to find ! i got my ram sticks today. even in mumbai on the phone prices were similar so i got from here only. in between dealers have said smc and other tomorrow it will be 2100 rs and more.

then whether 2Gb Team DDR2 PC2-5300 Elite Series (4-4-4) Dual Channel kit makes a good deal....? well i i hv ordered 2 packs of 2x1Gb each...was thinking of cancelling the order...but if any of you want..do let me know asap...

Yep got my 2 * 1gb kingston ddr2 667 yesterday @ 1850 a piece from SMC.....called up mumbai and found prices reaching 2000 already :hap2: but i still feel price hike is local and will come down again soon when sales hit low again

^^ if the price hike is not because of an increase in demand /decrease in supply , => the hike is artificial, and the prices must (at least theoretically )come down with time...given the demand and supply are constant....

the price hike is due to reduction in supply. and i think it will last the whole of this coming quarter.

ARE U SURE? I read somewhere on TE that the international prices are the same....doesn't that point towards an "artificial" hike?

yeah i guess its only a local artificial hike..international prices are still the same for most of the modules...

SMC delhi quoted 1800 for kingston 667ddr2 30 mins ago...i guess that is not too bad.
