Buy Zune in India ?

Hello there

in a previous post http://www.techenclave.com/general-portables/anything-but-ipod-zune-closed-source-123251.html , i intended to buy an MP3/video player which was not ipod or zune...

but it seems that there is no option in 120 GB (at least > 60 GB ) segment....

So my problem narrows down to ipod or zune...after reading at various forums, its clear that Zune is the current recommendation almost by everyone....

but how does one buy Zune in India ? Its still not launched in India....(had called MS call centre)

its not on ebay....no discussions on blogs....

don't know if its available in grey market ? (anyone saw it ? price update if yes please)

even if it is available, warranty won't be there ?

i am confused guys.....some help here.... (i really don't want to go for ipod )
 
yeah, recently there were recently some deals going around here for a 120 gig zune for 200 bucks. And just before that, for 80 gig ipods for 160, so there is a chance that you may be able to get a deal on a zune now. Warranty will be taken care of by kmd as well.
 
Try the Cowon players. Bit expensive, but you will get warranty in India if thats your priority. + high capacity models available.
 
I saw ad in TOI for indiatimes shopping(who else?) for official sale of Zune in India. It was like 9k or something. But I don't re'ber properly.

Problem is that it expires today (19th december), but since its american time, youve got a little under a day left. If kmd replies, tell him this deal...you can save some moolah.
 
since MS hasnt released the second gen zune here (from what you told me), and youre getting through KMD, there is very little likelyhood of you getting a warranty here. KMD, however, has a system in place for anything bought through him to send for the RMA process. You send the item back to him, he'll ship it to the states and deal with the place he got it from (newegg\amazon\wherever) to get it repaired\replaced. He'll then ship it back to you. You just have to pay him the shipping costs whenever this happens.
