and Corsair CMPSU-700GSUK @ 6000/-(will exceed your budget by a bit)
Are you open to AMD?

Not much but you can always oc it much easily without fear of warranty loss.If you are planning to go Dual-GPu at a later point of time u better go for the i5 as it will not bottleneck the dual GPus at high resolution as much as the phenom 955

For gaming suggest you go for the Intel configuration given too you by Marcus :eek:hyeah:, except change the board too P55-GD65 please for optimum performance and change the Cabinet to the NZXT Gamma ~ 2.1K ( Prime ABGB ) it has better airflow than Cooler Master + More fan support get 2x 120mm Sickleflows total ~ 2.8K same as Elite 430

Avoid C2C. They are renowned for selling fake GPU's. There was a member in TE who got a 9600GT which turned out to be fake and there was a long thread too about this. Stick to SMC or CE among the big stores, if u are buying from NP.

Also SMC has the zotac gtx 460 768mb @ 10,000 (including VAT) and 4GB(2*2) GSkill DDR3 1333MHz RAM for ~ 3k.

Why does he need a H55 based board when he is investing in a discrete graphics card, much better to go for the P55 in my opinion and the MSI P55 GD 65 is a great board for the price ~ 7.5K

This is a very good suggestion according to user reviews. The Elite 430 looks better but it's my personal view:D

Keeping in mind the future u should go for MSI p55-gd65 even if you have to buy a lower rating psu like vx450(only capable of running 1 high end card like the 6870 )and sell it when you buy another card .the corsair will have a decent resell value due to 5 yr warranty. This is only if you can't extend the budget. If you can go for the 2nd config.check this out

The i5-2500k will cost .5-1 k more than i5-760(and comes with unlocked multiplier:p).No idea about mobo cost though. If you plan to go single gpu then I suggest you go for Sandybridge which is also what I am planning to do

Only if his budget permits it.The p55-gd65 is the best vfm cfx/sli mobo available but the H55 is cheaper
