Buying a iPhone Help...ALL views welcome!

Okay i live in london and i wanna get an iphone, however I do not want to get it with o2 as they are ripping us of over here.The phone is £269 and then u hve to sign up to a 18 month contract for £35 a month and u only get 200 mins and 200 text messages.So I was wondering if I could just buy the phone from somewhere and unlock it? So it would work on a different network provider? Also my dad is going to india so if i was to buy it from india would it work here? Please help me out.Thanks
 
tell you what..London probably has the highest number of apple stores in the world....walk down to the nearest store and try it out for yourself....

play it with to your heart's content and take the call

so far, what I have seen is everyone who has based his/her opinions on reviews o the net can't stop dissing it...

and all those who have played arnd with it cant stop raving about it...

As for using another SIM, tonnes of people have unlocked their sets without issues
 
Look out for the cheapest store around that u can find.. and get it ..

ofcource u can take the demo from any place..

and DO NOT get it unlocked from anybody by coughing up some moolah .. u can do that all by urself ...

erm if u read it again,the thread is about getting the phone unlocked and not if i should get it.If I can get it unlocked then I want to buy it.

only 02 are doing it so i cant go to any other store lol..The issue is getting it unlocked...Is it possible to get it from india?

the unlocking thing is a cakewalk .. even ur cat can do it ... only thing that she shd be fond of apples.. :P

Just make up ur mind that u want it or not.. and take the plunge

And yes.. in india too ppl wd be there to do this trick if u get cold feet .. :)
 
okay fine it can get unlocked, i heard the phones from london cant be unlocked yet but only us ones.Okay now question where do i get the phone from?
