Buying a New Imac in the UK and bringing to india...

Guys,

I'm Moving to the UK, for onsite work & planned to get a workstation grade laptop.
But, I thought instead of investing on a laptop, to get a 27 imac (I can Get a core I7 toohyeahfor use there and bring it back to india...

I Know we can bring a laptop bought in the UK without tax, But does that hold same for an imac...:S

Some enlightened guys can help me in this..

As i know they will only allow things which can be "carried on". I dont know whether you will be allowed to pass anything in the luggage as carry on, or something which is customs-free.

My guess is that you will be charged the full customs duty as applicable for computers.
