Android Buying a phone in Canada for use in India. What issues should I be aware of?

Hi guys I'm planning on getting my friend in Canada to buy me a pixel 9 pro.

Just want to know what I should know. Things like:

-Buy an unlocked version
-Carry it without box
-check if it has international warranty (it does)

5g bands in the Canada version has the required bands for Indian carriers? Check this, otherwise no 5g reception.

I compared both the specs on the official Google website in Canada and India. The 5G and LTE bands are the same. Also, the model ID is same for the India and Canada versions as well so you shouldn't face any problems ideally.

Just to add my brother in law is in Canada. so, his iphone 14 pro and 15 pro was working flawlessly here.
Even the his wife pixel 8 pro never had any issue when they stayed in india for a month. i guess you should be good.
Just my 2 cents.
