Buying a refurbished product via Amazon Renewed?

I am looking to buy a refurbished product that costs 10% lesser via “Amazon renewed”. The seller is Clicktech retail.

Would folks have experience with buying products via Amazon renewed? Specifically looking for information regarding warranty on the product itself. Does the brand honor the warranty?

The product is a Sony soundbar - HT-A8000.
Regular price - 81,990.
Refurbished price - 71,622.
Not really worth it. Check the listing and you would find that it would say only 6 months seller warranty. There would not be any brand warranty.
Personally I have had mixed experience with Amazon Renewed so much so that would only look at it for low value products or Amazon's own certified products like Firesticks, Echo, etc. which carry full warranty.

Noob here, is amazon renewed a separate app/website?

( Amazon India is quite bad compared to amazon US* when it comes to enlisting renewed, warehouse products/sell )

if the product is a recent launch, it is worth the risk as most of them are box-opened/returned items. I have ordered a lot of stuff and almost everytime i have got almost brand new stuff, including monitors and headphones.

Amazon Renewed is cool. I've bought a mouse and headphones from them before. The packaging is a bit lacking, but the products always felt like new to me. And if they're not up to the mark, you can return them. If you can spend a bit more to get a brand new product, go for it. But if you want to save a few bucks, it's definitely a good option.

I've purchased a monitor and a controller, and my experience has been good. The product was in mint condition, but the packaging showed very minor wear. The seller for the monitor was Appario 3-4 years ago and Clicktech for the controller, so basically Amazon itself, which I feel I could trust. I haven't used the warranty, so I can't comment on that.

Make sure you check the seller's rating and reviews, and if you feel that anything is off, don't go forward with it. It won't be worth the hassle, especially for such an expensive product.

For 10% discount, I would never go for renewed product. This is not a good deal because first, it's a second hand device and even if the product is only open box, 10% price drop is expected. Second, you are missing on brand warranty on top of the product being second hand and you are not getting compensated for that. So it's a very bad deal.

If the price different is more than 25-30% then only I will think about it.

amazon's customer service are usually pretty good. If warranty is mentioned in the listing it should be valid but may be lesser than normal.
personally never felt the price difference worth it to get an inferior product.
