Graphic Cards Buying a second hand G Card.

Gonna buy a second hand graphics card as I am sick of the intel onboard and finally wanna try some games.
I have a dell 19 inch 1440x900 monitor and will be playing strategy games like dota 2, world of warcraft and other newer ones like
the anno series and others on the same lines.

Currently i am looking at a used 4850 at 2k.
Is it an Ok buy or should I look at other things in that budget.
 
I have a Q8400, CX430 V2, 4GB OCZ platinum 4-4-4@400 Mhz, G31Es2l:grrrr
and thats abt it.

I will not add anything else. Just want a g card within 2-2.5 k to play the above games on 1440 900 for the next 6 7 months, than I will be done with my engg and off to somewhere else.
