I happen to be in the United States for a month and as I was looking I realized that Television's are darn cheap here. (even after the rupee has been mauled so bad). I was wondering if it is a good idea to buy a TV here and bring it back. If I buy (it will be a 40 inch minimum, I am interested in a 46 inch ).
So has anyone done that ? What are the steps? Is it worth doing that and of course the great Indian Customs.
Have a look at PANASONIC .......... depending upon your budget (which you have not stated!!!). They are the BEST .......
1] You can definately take your pick from 47" to 55"
2] Chose between Plasma (the BEST) or LED
3] Even after factoring Customs & Duties - It is still a whole world CHEAPER than the CRAP (models/series) that is offered here in India. Remember the premuim USA series or models will never be launched here in India 4] Chose a THX Certified model between Plasma / LED
5] Do not fall for too many "SMART" Options on the TV - as you can very well plug in a HD-Media Player (which will have these features)
6] THX certified models are not yet launched in India - and anything remotely comparible is overpriced by 100-200 percent!!
