Hey everyone,

My current GPU(XFX 8800gt 512mb) has gone bad and hence need replacement for the same asap. Other PC specs have been mentioned below, which I need to keep the same. So please recommend considering my current setup.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Asap

BUDGET RANGE: Rs. 7000-10000

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, everything like COD, Crysis, WSBK, NFS, Assassins creed etc.

CURRENT POWER SUPPLY: Coolermaster 600W

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel E8400 3.0Ghz, MSI P43-Neo Mobo, 4gb 667mhz ram.

PARTS PREFERENCES: MSI

OVERCLOCKING: No

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680 x 1050

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I am from Mumbai, so if anyone could recommend the manufacturer depending on their after sales services it would be helpful.

Thank You.

Sir i would suggest you to get get Sapphire/Msi HD6850-9.5k OR if you can add 1k more then get Sapphire HD6870-11.5k[with this gpu you'll be able to play games at max eyecandy],do mention which psu do you have in detail otherwise problem might arise if the psu is of low quality. Both sapphire and msi are good in A.S.S so no need to worry.

Thanks for your reply.

HD6870 is a bit over budget and wont my CPU cause a bottleneck for such high end GPU's?

I've read in the forums that Sapphire provides 2yrs product warranty + 1yr labour warranty, is that the case with MSI as well?

I guess you have CM Extreme Power Plus 600W PSU, if true, please change it to a good quality PSU. I'd suggest GTX 550| Corsair CX500 V2 or Sapphire HD6770|Corsair CX430 V2

If you're haing CM Power+ psu then get a new Seasonic S12ii 520w-3.6k which is better than Corsairs builder series CX500v2.

You can overclock your cpu if you choose to get HD6870,it is a bit over budget for you,MSI provides 3 year warranty for their gpu.

6850 is the best for ur current rig and resolution that you are playing..6870 will be bit overkill,,as for psu get new one as suggested by OP asap

Thanx all for your feedbacks. I think i will go with a 6850 as soon as i find a good deal.

Please share your opinion over what manufacturer would be preferable for the same.
