Buying an E-reader

None of the eBook readers are available in retail here in India. If you want it quickly, buy the Wink or Infibeam Pi. f you want the best eBook reader for the money you are going to spend but are ready to wait for some time, get the Amazon Kindle 3.
 
I was hoping to buy a sony reader or nook by barnes n noble,now that you have told me its not available for retail in India, can I order it from their respective site and expect shipping within 10 days ?

any idea how much the customs charge would be for nook? for getting it shipped to bangalore,India ?

I'm buying the nook,can anyone throw some light on issues like warranty,guaranty and damages during shipping and will they replace it if any such thing happens?
 
im also on the look out for a gud e reader,.

maybe, if someone can arrange a GO for nook or kindle, i think, many will be willing the take home one.
 
The customs is quite high for all these devices. A $139 kindles costs around $180-200 after shipping and customs, customs being more than shipping but a part of it is refunded after a month or so.

A GO may be started but a general group order of AMAZON stuff is already going on at lynx, but it includes Lynx profit too. The WiFi Kindle 3 cost me Rs. 9350/- including everything from Lynx.
