All you people who can afford and install CNG and are not doing so are my SWORN ENEMY, cause you people are polluting my city where my kids are going to live and grow up and probably would live up to the point where I would be able to play with my grand children.

No one has talked about the good that CNG Fuel bring to the environment, and that the exhaust only has CO2 & Water Vapors. People are simply Sick. I think most of the EARNING members are not educated and think that they all have simply bought their Qualification Degrees, cause no where I see any sensible answer.

DUDE, go ahead and buy a CNG car and contribute to a cleaner tomorrow for our kids, cause the only reason we are alive is to push our DNA to another generation and contribute to the SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST Theory. And for others, START REALIZING YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS MOTHER NATURE.

And i thought I will find educated people at TECHENCLAVE.

STILL, GODSPEED ALL.

Now that's what I call some good words coming out from someone who really cares about the future. Hats off. to you JayMathers. That's what I am trying to make people understand. maxme, here in Delhi, a sequential kit from an authorised Maruti dealer would cost you in between Rs 60,000 - 65,000/- in which they will give you a 1 year warranty from their side.

Booked Swift LXI yesterday. The killing part is, will have to wait for 2 months for it.

Once delivered I will ask dealer to install the CNG kit.

My dad(surprisingly he's also 5'11"!!) makes 110km everyday and he's also buying a car within a week.
First as per calculations per month cost of CNG and diesel is almost the same.and there's an additional cost for installation for CNG kit.
Moreover after sales of CNG fitted is also less that regular...engine torque is less than diesel by huge numbers.
So Diesel is the best option if you cover 70Km a day.
We(me and my dad) think that getting a hatchback is much better than a sedan.
My dad works in Roulunds Braking India which is the largest disk brake manufacturer in Asia...this company sells their products to companies like Volkswagen,Skoda,Jaguar,Bentley,Mercedes,Maruti Suzuki,Ford,Chevrolet, etc etc..
So he's knows alot about these cars.Under a budget of 6 lakhs ritz is the best pick....very very comfortable seats...good for short people...
great gear box location...makes changing gear in long drives very easy...modern looks..190Nm of torque...highest in class torque
we had Figo,Fabia,Polo,Swift,Dzire,i20,Beat in our list.
dzire and i20 are come for 1 lakh more and we don't think it's worth it..
Fabia and Polo have a much higher maintenance charge and suppose if something goes wrong in the middle of a long journey..you'll be helpless.
after sales is also very less.and polo is good but there's a compromise in quality as it's a cheap car.A VW for 6 lakhs is cheap. Trust me.
Ultimately the drivers cars are Swift and Ritz.
now it depends upon you what to chose....

Hey guys! Sorry for not showing up for some days but I was busy getiing some things done to my brand new Dzire LXI. Finally got it delivered after 12 weeks of killer waiting. Got the music system and everything (a upper model has) installed in it and now it's just sheer pleasure of driving the new 1.2 K-series which is what I am enjoying. The rear boot (for which I intentionally paid 1 lakh extra) is really handy as I have got a woofer which weighs 7-10 kgs approx fitted in easily and still I am left with plenty of space. Guys, people do say that Dzire is just a Swift with a boot but trust me (I've driven both the cars) that the moment you enter the Dzire you yourself will feel the difference. Despite the fact that both the cars shares the same engine, I have noticed that Dzire's back seats are far more comfortable as compared to Swift (I am a Swift lover too :)) My plan is to to run my car for 5,000 kms and then to go for the Sequential CNG kit. Ok, that's my part of the story. I'll try to upload some pics of the car later on. Hey Maxme, Swift Lxi is a good choice anyday but why don't you check out Ritz. I somehoe feel that I10 and Ritz both have got the gears positioned at the very impressive and comfortable position. I test drove Ritz and found it a very comfortable and with it's 60:40 rear seat fold option, it's a utility vehicle at the same time. abhigupta, are you planning to buy Ritz DDIS diesel? It's an amazing machine which delivers a whooping 16-18 kms in City and above 20 kms on highway. What else u want from your car. I agree that when it comes to wear and tear, nothing beats Maruti. Guys, try to keep this thread alive as it's really helpful for people who are interested in buying or converting their vehicles to CNG.

What happened guys. Where's everyone? No posts at all. However, this is an update that I am just finished with my first full tank and the meter showed 350 kms done. I filled in petrol worth Rs 2500/-. I won't say it's an average one would cheer but need some suggestions from the experts that the average which I have got, is it OK? or is it less. Petrol was NORMAL and AC was 90percent on. Points from some Dzire K series owners are welcome but other experts can also throw some light. Can we expect a lot more average after another fill or first service?

That always happens with new cars..... Ur fuel economy should improve after the 1st service.....
