All cameras are welcome, though digital cameras are preferred. Accessories include lenses, mem cards, tripods, flashes, light meters, etc,

There is only one condition : camera needs to be shipped to me before I release payment.

What is valuable : everything, except Li ion/ Ni MH batteries that are dead (please do not send these unless they can power atleast a 100 shots)

While responding, mention the following :
item details including model no and approx date of purchase. Preferably drop a link to the specs page.
defects and service report if the item was ever taken to service center.

I shall provide an estimate based on the description provided by you, and if the figure is agreeable, you can ship the item to me (at your cost). After inspection, I shall credit amount to your account, adjusting for any transit damage or undeclared defects.

As always, please feel free to use the forum or PM to communicate.

I have one 2GB Sony's Memory Stick pro duo - MS-MT2G : Memory Stick PRO Duo

reason - after getting a DSLR all I deal with is SDHC cards.. so its of no use for me... last time when used with sony cam it was working (dont know of now)...

noone interested in purchasing coz they consider it equivalent to purchasing used underwear :P

prashant: Calicut, Kerala

ashvary : How much are you asking for it? I don't distinguish between dead and living (mem cards, ofcourse).

I have a canon S5iS which is in non working operation as lens has been struck due to water splash problem. No display on LCD screen. Not repaired as there are no technical persons in my city

Would you want a original Sony battery charger I got along with my old Cybershot DSC-P73? Works for AA/AAA batteries. It does work without issues though. Close to 5 years + old.

have got 1 dead Canon Powershot A95 camera.

Gave for servicing the reply was there is CCD problem, plus some other problem, costing a bomb to repair got a new camera instead :D

The camera was used for around 5 years.

How much you can give?

I will prefer atleast 50% amount in my account before I can ship. (There is recent history of transction going awry so its a mutual thing.) There wont be any argument regarding that.

Sony T-50 touchscreen camera with dead 2 GB mem card. No battery and charger. Water damage. Does not turn on. Everything else is in pristine condition. I hv also posted in your laptop thread quite some time back but never received a response and there is no activity on it from your end as well. Are you still looking for defective laptops???

ONLY Buying dead / defective cameras and accessories ?
OR WORKING ONES ALSO?
I HAV NIKON COOLPIX 4.6 IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION...
WITH 1GB CARD AA CELLS & CHARGER
NOT BEING USED ANYMORE.. AS i HAV UPGRADED

I see I am facing a deluge of "water problems".

netwitx : I can try to fix it. Regarding an estimated price, I need to check if the electronics is damaged as well, before I can offer a reliable estimate. If the sensor/ IC are fine I can offer 1000, if not it would be worth 500.

Desecrator : I think you will find interested parties offering better prices if you started a for sale for it.

medpal : Does the lens move when powered up? If yes, I can offer 750, if not 250. If agreeable, provide account details.

agupta02 : I'm still in need for dead laptops. Will check the thread and reply soon. It is active, I just loathe to keep bumping it every 24 hours. Regarding the cam, I can offer 750.

drkrack : I think you will find interested parties offering better prices if you started a for sale for it. By the way, I couldn't find a Coolpix 4.6. A dead 4600 should fetch you about 250-750, depending on the defect, of course. Need more info about battery charger and batteries to evaluate.

ashvary : Can you confirm it is working? I'll let you know if I get enquiries, I have no need for a live one personally. Dead, it would be not worthwhile to ship just that item.

No follow up?

Guys, if you feel the valuation is low, please let me know your expectation.
I am perfectly fine with whatever you quote. Since it works properly I do not want to give it away for free. If someone has spare rechargeable AA/AAA batteries, this one would be helpful for them. I can post the specs if you are interested.

khanvis2009 : It is better you start a thread for them. I don't need working cams, especially film cams.

Desecrator : Start a thread, I am sure someone will offer a respectable figure. I don't need working stuff.

soory just saw the thread today only.
Yes lens movement is good. camera takes pictures but its affected by horizontal artifacts. if you need I can give you one sample shot tomorrow.
It takes video recording very well.

I am okay with 750/- only thing is you need to pay additional shipping charges which could be around 120-150 bucks.
TIA.

Let you know in few days...
btw, it used to give some error while using.. so I taped it and then it was working fine...
could try using it with a memory card reader... cant check whether it works with cam..

medpal : One of the conditions of the deal is you foot the shipping bill. And I don't see the need for spending 150 for shipping a defective cam on it's last journey. Just use ordiinary India Post parcel service, and use basic packing only - just put camera in box and stuff crumpled newspaper on all sides.

ashvary : I appreciate the straightforwardness. It is a rare trait these days. I won't be encouraging anyone to buy a taped mem card, so don't bother with the testing. You were right, about the used underwear analogy - errr used, torn and re-stitched underwear.
