I have found a deal on ebay.in & turns out the seller is new & just registered. Though I will be buying using paisapay only but still could there be any issues ? If he sends some other item OR does not send few mentioned item OR if something is damaged, does ebay really refund my amount without any problem ? Anyone has a experience ?

I know everyone has to start from zero, but I am little skeptical.

No experience in indian ebay but was bidding for a psp on uk ebay and won it for amazingly low price. Buyer was reluctant to sell so I lodged an ebay complaint and he agreed readily. Once, needed to sell something back due to missing accessories. Ebay paid for shipping too. All transactions done via paypal.

My recommendation is buy from a trusted seller (hopefully a featured one). You may have to pay a bit more but you'll have peace of mind.

While buying from Ebay I also look for a good feedback rating and go through couple of comments, unless it is a Haluva deal. I mean like those toothpastes

So what to do ?

Guys experience with other eBay like eBay UK or EBay US won't be same as compared to eBay India. We have paisa pay, so...

PaisaPay and paypal are both owned by ebay and I presume they function the same way. Read thru terms and conditions on paisapay. Btw, all my transactions and disputes were raised by ebay and not paypal. Just saying that paypal offers buyers protection similar to paisapal.

Also, what are you buying? And as mentioned before, stick to featured buyers who would not want to tarnish their rep.

Paisapay protection is horseshit, recently my friend received a faulty phone( with dealer warranty) and he informed the dealer on the same day and even shipped back the faulty phone back for replacement as instructed by the dealer.

But guess what, the dealer sent back the same phone claiming that its a replaced piece and this lead to Paisapay dispute which ebay india ruled in Dealer's favour due to his powerseller status.

Fellow TE members, kindly avoid this scumbag: http://myworld.ebay.in/cell-force.in/

True that PaisaPay is far from being great, but ebay is still considerably better than the rest of e-com sites in India. With the other sites you are completely at the mercy of the seller no matter what happens. Lets say you buy something on ebay and the seller doesn't ship the item. The amount will be automatically credited back to your account after the time threshold. On any other site, there simply isn't much you can do.
