hi guys actually i never bought good HeadPhones coz never thought they were important

but now i really wanan buy a good set of headphones

my budget is like 7k max and what i require from them is that they should have a mic and should be USB compatible (prefer)

also they must be atleast 5.1 compatible also i would not mind getting a 7.1

so my vendor has told me that these two models are available

Razer barracuda(dont know how to spell guessing this must be it)

Razer Piranha

any good advices on which to buy would be good for me

5.1 or 7.1 or whatever..would make 0 difference for gaming as well as on the music side..its just a gimmick and waste of money....

how can u even think of cheapo performance headsets of razer..in that budget of 100 $ +...they sound crap for the money...im a gamer myself..so well usb soundcard might come handy on lan..but just for that sake dont go for such cheapo "GAMING ADVERTISED" headsets........instead invest in someother good ones, get a usb soundcard for like 1000 -1500rs seperate, and enjoy. .

if u need a mic ...Sennheiser PC350, Sennheiser PC 166 USB

get a zalman mic clip seperately for 10$ , and get these headphones as 2nd options.... Audio Technica AD700 ( i doubt there is any better choice in the 100-150 $ market) , Sennhesier HD 555, Grados SR 60 , Plantronics Audio 770 USB , Icemat Siberia

TOTALLY +1

Dont fall for 5.1/7.1/9.1/15.1crap.

And IMO Razer is very good at making mouse and mouse pads, but it sucks at making anything else.

Get Sennheiser HD555 or Allesandro MS1i. <-(Waiting for SunnyBoi's response for the same)

Icemat is compartively cheap build quality and hence not recommended (Personal exp).

ok so leave the mic thing and razer

tell me the best headphones for under 7k

if they have 5.1 or not i dont care but they should be the best

thnxs for replies

I recently ordered the JVC HA-RX900.

According to the reviews on HeadFi, they are as good as AD700s but when it comes to price/performance ratio, the RX700/900 wins hands down.
They cost me 4.1k through KMD.

As for the mic, if your comfortable with an external one, they just cost around 200 bucks :P

my two cents..

audio-technica ath-m50s - if you are looking for above avg isolation and deep and chilling bass :) , these are closed type cans with an amazing overall sound performance :)

will cost 7k through KMD :)
