Graphic Cards Buying Help!!

have approx 5k to blow on a gfx card... need to get some doubts clarified..
is it worth going in for a second hand card... as in, wat abt warranty hassles etc.. wat sort of a card can i expect to get for this money... new/second hand.
should i hold on a bit for prices to come down?? (coz o de 8600 hoopla, i kno tht aint gonna fit into my budget, but it would bring other stuff down)

If you can I would suggest holding out. Once the DX 10 cards (the 8600, 8800, 8300 etc) hit the market there will be a definate price cut. In a few months you could get a brand new 7600 GT for 5K or so.

I would stay clear of second hand cards unless they are less than a year old, come with a bill and warranty thats valid in your state.
 
Theres no problem in second hand cards really. As long as its from a trusted source. Itt'l take a lil while for the mainstream DX10 cards to reach indian market. i think you can go for a 7300GS if you really need something

i hv 2 of them...and the price is negotiable:)

yes it is slower than 7600gs

but equivalent to 6600gt...ie.faster in some games n slower in some..
 
1)It can be wrth getting a snd hand card provided u buy from da right source.

2)Waiting for the next gen would mean atleast 1-4 months wait.

3)For da price you won't get nything over a 6600GT or 7600GS for a lil more.
