Buying on amazon using an Indian credit card

I want to buy a book from amazon and have it delivered to a friend in the US. I tried to pay for it using my Indian ICICI credit card but the only card related info it asked me for was the card no., type, name and expiry date and billing address. No ccv no. or password! Is this normal? The order has already been placed but not shipped yet.

Yes, its normal. for buying on Amazon. not CVV or password are not needed

mmm that's weird. I didn't know the credit card no. was something I had to keep secret! Looks like I will have to scratch it out just like I did with my ccv no. :S

Also just one more doubt - should the billing address be the address my card is registered to?

I guess this is the it does not need your CVV number ( can not recall where else I saw the same), instead of CVV they asked you for the registered address.(registered to credit card, later they'll send this information to CC for approval of payment)
