hello

i am getting sick of my old PIII now so decided to buy to get a new PC. I need to buy CPU, Motherboard, RAM and Graphic card online, so could you guys suggest me a good place to buy. that place should also deliver to india.
my budget is 1500-2000 USD for the above mentioned stuff.

also i havent been updated on the new hardware circulating in the market so could you guys suggest me what to buy.

thanks in advance

PS: pl dont tell me wait over any product i will buy the stuff which is curently available and which fits in my budget.

where are you located now ? why not purchase the core components locally ? getting things from overseas is a hassle sometimes (warrany, customs)

prices for many components here is comparable to the states so its not worth the hassle importing imo

Unless you or your friends/family are currently in SG/USA or some other country where parts are cheap (Not Europe), get stuff from India. Things like Intel C2D processors can be purchased from here at extremely good prices when compared to US online stores. Also, if you import from abroad, you may have to wait months instead of days if something stops working. Anyway with a 1500$+ budget, you should look at something like
E6600 C2D, Asus P5B Deluxe, 2 GB DDR2-800Mhz Ram, 8800GTS Gfx card, and a 22" or 24" Widescreen LCD. Guru's should be able to provide you a more detailed config once you make up your mind where you are buying from.

I am currently in pune.

well my grandpa is in the US and he will be paying for all the stuff, so i have to get the stuff online. so any suggestions????

i have about 30k INR with me which i will use to buy cabinet, speakers, etc.

also i have a 17in crt monitor will it be good enough for the config above mentioned by wolfff or should i go for a lcd???

go for the following config:

Intel C2D E6600

Asus P5B

2*1gb DDR 2 800mhz kit from OCZ/Gskill or any other brand

Thermaltake Big Typhoon

OCZ gamextreme 700W(if u can afford it)

or even a decent 550 to 600W psu should do

Nvidia 8800GTS

19" widescreen LCD

^^You don't need such high end Psu to run 8800gts. Just get antec neo 500.

Also get asus P5B dlx along with intel C2D E6600.

Also better ditch your 17 inch crt and get a dell 20 inch or at least a viewsonic 20 inch lcd. After all that 17 inch monitor won't do any justice to your high powered GPU.
