Buying online - Octroi in Punjab

Hi

I will be buying some Rs.25-30000 worth of computer stuff online from a Chennai based website. I will be having it shipped to Ludhiana.

What I want to know is if there will be any Octroi payable by me ?

If yes, what is the procedure ?

(Not sure if the thread belongs here, but its the closest I could find related to buying PC stuff)

There is no octroi tax in Punjab.

Thanks, but any other taxes/levies due to which the shipment may be stopped ??

You know the friggin Badal clan - the less said the better...

Fortunately,There is no such problem in punjab..Had ordered from UK/US/Austria and received within 10 days and also from china and received in a month..

Though Badals were trying to impose a tax (octroi)on items coming from other states and obviously from other countries but they failed to do so somehow..
