Buying power adapter for BSNL modem WA3002G4

I have WA3002G4 BSNL modem and it has started rebooting for no reason. I believe its power supply issue.

The power adapter rating is 12v/700ma. Can I use 12v/1A adapter? Any suggestions you have? I am thinking to go with this one: http://www.ebay.in/itm/12V-1Amp-DC-...ppliances&hash=item3f2b4f7ead&_uhb=1#shpCntId

yes, you can. I prefer under-volting though but the you cant go less then 600ma

why undervolting?

these chargers are mostly chinese, so I thought 1A may be better than 700ma

Thats because it usually supplies more or sometimes less (rarely) than the needed current. In your case though, go with the 12V/1A adaptor since usually these modems have some minor circuitry protection.

The 1A will do just fine and you wont face any issues.
But you may find 600, 650, 700mA ones I recall seeing them.
