Buying PS3 from abroad query .

Guys if I buy ps3 from australia will the game available in India work in it ? Don't ask me why I'm buying from there :P . Will I need any different adapter or anything ? And warranty is not international right :( ?
 
Any idea whats the price of a ps3 in india ? I dunno the new price .. last time i checked last year it was 20k
 
Depends on which bundle you are aiming for. I got my 120GB Slim bundle for 20k + 750 bucks for the 2 year extended Croma warranty back in March this year.
 
cool ill buy from here only then .. its actually a bit too costly there in aus ... also where do you get your games ? you share with people ? buying so many new ones will not be possible right ?
 
I just had a chat with Prashant and he gave the following quotes:

PS3 slim 160GB console = Rs.19,000/-

PS3 320GB with Move starter kit = Rs.22,650/- (kick-ass deal)

As for the games, they are widely available all across. You can procure it online and there are lots of stores in Bombay which cater specifically for games, like Games4U. You can even purchase used copies for cheaper rates from the Market section over here.
 
Who Prashant :P ? I thought of buying from lamington road or Croma in bandra . 19k for 160gb should be like that at lamington also right :?
 
Prashant is one of the Authorised Dealers here on TE. He has his own website: www.intencity.in. I had got my X360 from him. He has awesome deals on the consoles. I'm not sure how it goes down on Lamington road, but make sure you get your warranty in place. I got mine from Croma, mainly because of the extended warranty. Everything out there would retail at MRP prices, so discounts would be out of the question.
 
Friend of mine bought a Xbox 360 Elite for $119 from Radioshack on Thanksgiving day , i also got the new 360 controller which has the upped D-Pad($45) and whole lots of other stuff.

OT - Is Prashant available now , need to get MU Account from him.

I got my PS3 320GB with Move pack for 22.2k....

@Scorpy - dude better get this from india as warranty on electronics is must nowadays....
 
Yea Ill buy from India only .. mostly Ill buy 160gb slim from croma ... ill buy 320gb if the price difference is not much .
