I am planning to buy PSP lite in coming weekend :)

But I have few queries :S before I buy it :

1. How much a additional battery cost INR as I would like to make Pandora battery of it. I would prefer Soft mod battery as I don't want to mess with Pin5, by soldering and un-solder it. And it seems Soft mod is hassle free

2. I have read in some post that sony is releasing Pandora proof battery in recent PSP models. Is it true ?

3. How to Identify genuine MSDP card and any specific brand to buy( I have opted for Sandisk 8GB) and what is the price for same ?

4. How much a 512mb MSPD "fake" card will cost as I'll use it for making Magic card. Can fake MSPD brick PSP ? If yes I'll skip fake.

5. Do I really need to bother if anyhow PSP is bricked; as we can unbrick it using Pandora battery.

6. Which is good earphone to buy for PSP (I have opted for EP630)

7. Which option is better a 'Crystal cover' or 'Horri screen protector'. By reading forums my inclination is toward Horri screen protector. How much both cost. Any specific suggestions ?

8. Currently I guess 3.90 M33-3 is the latest & stable CFW available is it true ? as I'll using this CFW on my PSP. Any comments on this

9. I'll be buying it from Sony world, JJMehta, Croma or from Ninja. Any other shop to look for ? what is current price ( 8500? ) ?

10. Any other suggestion that I need to consider while buying PSP and accessories for it ?
 
i own a PSP and ill try to answer your questions:

Ans: no idea about soft modding battery but whats bad in soldering/desoldering? additional battery costs around 400bux a copy one and its reasonable to use such battery as the use us very less

Ans: No idea about that

Ans: Sandisk 8GB is good choise. buy from a genuine retailer with sealed blister pack. i head last 3.6K for 8gb one.

Ans:barely it will cost around 400bux. and yes its good for making magic card and no it wont brick PSP. if it bricks anyhow, u have pandora :D

Ans:Yes its possible to unbrick it by pandora.

6. Which is good earphone to buy for PSP (I have opted for EP630)

Ans: i use same one. EP630. no doubt its the best.

Ans:Get only screen protector and for storage/carrying, buy a PSP case

Ans: im ysing 3.90M33-3 and its good. dont have experience with others

Ans:buy from Sony World. u will get proper warranty.

Ans: Buy PSP charger cum stand & A/V cable!
 
Pandora battery is available in India... Look around for it or get it from Amarbir here...

The newer batteries are indeed pandora proof but older make are still in the market for now...

I would also recommend Sandisk over SONY 'coz it would be genuine (Mostly) & comes with 5 years warranty on bill.... As for identifying you cannot do it just by looking at the card.... It needs to be inserted in the PSP & see if MagicGate is supported...

You can get the PSP from local dealers as well, with proper bill.. 'coz SONY World refuses to give a lower price... I got the PSP for 8.7k billed while SONY World was adamant on 9k billed...

Anyway you can also get it from grey 'coz after flashing the warranty is void...

Just to point out, warranty no use, since its nz voided the min u flash/mod it :P

so just get where-ever its cheapest, which will definitely NOT be sonyworld. ;)

didn't got time this week :( was busy with my office work.

1. my Gut feeling say not to buy Alpha (Andheri) as they sell repaired pieces also, in some cases :@

I don't care about the warranty as the next day it will be -> void when I'll update with CFW.

Only I want is I don't get some repaired stuff.

2. How much a AV cable will cost ? Do Sony World stock them ?
 
if you're worried about grey market stuff reliability then your only option is to pay more...

also, 4.01 m33-2 released today which is the latest cfw
 
Shailesh, get it from Ninja. You ll get it(modded 3.71m33) for 8.5-9k depending on your bargaining skills. You can upgrade it to 3.90 m33 3 yourself without the pandora battery.

Thank Pathik for the wonderful suggestion.

I have a keen interest to mod it myself from the scratch. Anyways I'll get it from Ninja or Sony world. Ninja is now my preference.

Do you have any idea how much AV cable cost?
