I want to buy RAM from USA.
I have a friend who will buy for me. He will ship it to India.

What will be the shipping charges? and any customs is going to affect?

I am planning to buy

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit

I have MSI K9AGM3 with AMD X2 5200+.

I am expecting a lot of performace improvement.

Currently using 1 GB 667 transcend.

my sis lives in us... she can ship alotta stuff fer me... will there only be shipping charges n no custom duties?? plz specify fer wat products custom duties are not applicable n if there is a price limit (abv which customs will be charged) or something...

There's a Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 2GB kit up for sale. Might work out easier than getting your kit shipped from the US.

my friend told me, custom guys at mumbai giv a lot of trouble whereas in delhi/chennai, its nt that big prob

That's a 3k diff. :S

I am buying only RAM from US, I don't think just 2 sticks will run into any customs.
