Right , today in the morning i was going through the Tripple Channel DDR3 RAM's available in the market and of course looking at the price as well.
Found a RAM 6GB (3sticks x 2GB) DDR3 1600 and.. if you look at the price it was like 60% less than the Corsair Dominator 6GB Tripple Channel.
The Brand was Mushkin..
Basically i wanted to know was if anyone has ever heard about this brand before and used it earlier because if the brand is good then the RAM would be pretty much worth it tbh.
Post your opinions..
btw , the RAM was this one - Newegg.com - mushkin 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

Mushkin is a respected brand.

Do NOT judge RAM by prices alone. You will be able to find 1GB DDR2 sticks ranging from 20usd all the way upto 70-80USD per stick.

There are other factors which come into play, like overclockability, presence of heatspreaders, chips used, etc.

The best way to go about a RAM purchase would be to set for yourself a proper budget and narrow down on the basis of reviews for kits that fall within the said budget.

PS - DDR3 is EXPENSIVE

It would be great if you can use more descriptive and precise thread titles.

Earlier it was 'RAM'.

Even I'd like to know how are mushkins. the 1066 or the 800mhz DDR2 aren't that much more expensive than g.skills(newegg) but quite a few people on the various american boards say that mushkin are kick ass rams, somewhat better than g.skill(based on what I have no clue) and are more OC friendly.

I can't decide between g.skill piblack 800, g.skill piblack 900, g.skill 1066, mushkin 800, mushkin 1066. Aim is OC. Aim is Intel® Core™2 Duo Desktop Processor E7400 - SLB9Y at 3.6ghz+.

They're good RAMs. I've had four sticks of their DDR2 for quite a while now. They OC well. I'm no authority on RAM chips but most of the reviews / forum posts I read say they use high quality chips and test each stick before they leave the factory.

Great customer support, they've got their own technicians who man their forums, both of whom respond two PMs within minutes be it RMA requests or even settings for you RAM and what timings to run based on your board.

Highly recommended. :hap2:

Might , Might Not.
Just asked for a bit of knowledge about what all brands there are in the market , and just went through newegg.com and this was like very cheap compared to the other Triple Channel kits. :)
