Hi all,

I need to buy some 4-5 sticks of 512MB DDR 400 for one of my friend. I m from Bangalore. So bangalore people (others as well) can u tell me the price for the various brands aka TwinMos,Hynix,Transcend, etc.
I called up Computerwarehouse of Brigade rd, thye told rs 2280+tax for 512MB Original Hynix which I think is a big rip off price. Plz suggest shop names as well.

Thanx in advance

Transcend 512MB sticks with Samsung UCCC chips will be like 2.1k, Twinmos will be slightly cheaper I guess. Goto Golchha Computers @ SPRoad, the dealer is a friendly guy and stocks Transcend sticks with UCCC.

Computer warehouse's prices are way too much. Go to SP road. Vignesh i found that Golchha's prices were a little on the higher side actually. He did not lower his price further from 2.3 k for 512 MB Transcend(UCCC). I got it from another shop for 2.1k. The name was Ankit Infotech. But remember dont just go to one shop and buy at what price he gives. Go to at least 3-4 shops and inquire and also bargain hard, these guys always quote prices a few hundred higher. Twinmos and Hynix are around 1.8k.

Dont get the Hynix. I see too many fake modules. The writing on the chips get erased/smudged when i rub them with my fingers. Get the TwinMos for 1.75k. The Dynet costs the same, so might as well get the twinmos. Or get the Transcend UCCC for Rs2000, Transcend Jetram for Rs1900.

Raghu.

yeah his prices area a bit on the higher side the only reason I brought mine from him because he was the only one who had Transcend with micron :P now all of them come with Hynix chips.

Zeon Ram is not good

Well my frend is hell bent on getting zeon as actually he is a reseller in my hometown ie Agartala,Tripura. He will get warranty locally there as well for 3 yrs on Zeon rams.I know Zeon rams do not OC at all though they r with hynix chips.Do anyone of u have an idea how much they cost for 512MB modules?

i bought a zion 512mb 400mhz from computer ware house a few months back . I got errors in memtest at stock speeds!!!

Computerwarehouse guys exchanged it for a kinston 512 stick , saying zion has problems with asus nforce motherboards. might be a timing issue?
