Looking to buy a new system in 5 days. Wanting to make something that will last 3-5 years at the least.
1) laptop died. No other desktop.
2) HDD salvageable. (500gb Toshiba) windows 7 salvageable.
3) budget: anything below 90k (going above 90k is possible but only if I absolutely need to - preferably avoidable)
4) aiming at mostly gaming, watching movies, 24x7 downloads. But primary use is gaming at 1080p and 60fps
Which games? Civ 5, civ beyond earth, shadow of mordor, dragon age (when ever it comes), evil within, metro redux versions, other high graphics games, and the occasional dota2.
5) important note: house modem was located in a central location so that all laptops being used at home get signal properly - hence will be using WiFi till renovation begins (two months from now maybe), after that will get a suitably long cat5 cable.
6) buying from: Amazon.in and PrimeABGB (Lammington road, Bombay)
Do not want to buy second hand or from TE market.
7) yes I want to learn to over clock
Screen size: FullHD 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz
8) what do I have in mind?
- i5 4670k (18000)
- Gskill 8gb ram (6000)
- seasonic m12 650 w bronze evo (not planning to go dual GPU in the future either) (7000)
- nzxt phantom 530 white (8000)
- Seagate barracuda 1tb (4000?)
- Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive (Black) (1200)
- Dell ST2420L 24inch (13000)
- keyboard any cheap one. Already got mouse.
-fans: noctua or h80i? I don't know which is better or cost effective.
Confused as to following two things: mobo and graphic card.
Mobo I had Asus z87 pro in mind but it's 19k and idk if I even want to pay that much. Can i just get a WiFi card and get a cheap OC mobo? Which one?
Graphic card: conflicted between nvidia 970 and sapphire trix 290x 4gb. Iirc both are in the 40k zone. Which reference card to buy, if nvidia? Zotac amp edition?
So if you total above costs, it easily comes above 90k. Can you suggest me alternative components to possibly bring it below 90k?
There is only one thing I must absolutely insist on, and its the phantom 530. I love nzxt's phantom design. Other suggestions are always welcome, but try to squeeze that cabinet's price in your total.
