Buying the dell m101z at Kolkata today

going to buy dell m101z with 2gb ram around 24k today
plz suggest bestbuy in kolkata :)
ps need ligh but not netbook and good ASL
budget 28k max :(
hence chose above model

From where u going to buy this, please let me know the shop name.

Last I checked some major shop,when they realize it's a AMD config they gave me a look and some also suggest me to go for a desktop which will be cheaper as I can't afford a Intel based laptop.

Did u consider HP-DM1Z over it ?

not hp as not sure of ASL
will first check dell shop near air india office on cr avenue near chadni

Also try Vedant, Tirupari, Arihant and Eastern Logica Infoway.

Eastern Logica has a really big shop. cross Technocrat and enter the big road to the left. Just after crossing the bylane where MD computers is located, you will find the Eastern Logica Shop.

I don't like Technocrat since they tend to overprice all the items. Am not sure about laptops though.

even has the win7 home basic media
but damn thing is 64 bit :(
think will have to dual boot xp for the old apps ??!

Why? 64-bit supports all older 32-bit apps fine without any issues.

main reason for low price
damn thing has neo 2 k125 SINGLE CORE but slightly faster (1.7 GHz) proccy
so worse on multitasking but better on battery life, right ???

AMD neo is a decent platform but nothing great. Ofcourse it provides more grunt in CPU intensive task but overall its lower than the Fusion APUs. be it the power saving or video tasks.

You should have brouht M102z instead. Which comes with AMD Eseries APU over 6hours of batter and ample general and video performance, Inspiron M102z Laptop Product Details | Dell Singapore

Planning to buy a dell laptop Inspiron 15 tomorrow if the shop will remain open.

DELL exclusive store will remain open tomorrow,but will remain closed for next 3 days.

dont know about shops in ganesh avenue. Will they remain open during puja?

If anybody have any information,please share with me.
