palit 9600 gt 512mb ddr3 @Rs. 5500 would be my pick.

if you can stretch to 8k, Palit HD4850 is a great option.

can plz:S explain what difference it this HD4850 gonna make as compared to 9600

thanks:clap:

HD4850 is around 2x times faster than 9600GT.

But you need stable 450W PSU for HD4850. (your tech com 400W won't be able to give stable power to this card).

You will needa new PSU so HD 4830 (From KMD) + CM 460W.

hmmmmm......grt.....is my p4 procy gonna create some problem, with this 4850 card? somthing called bottle neck?

is this 4850 be a nice solution for my upgrade too?

thanks for the reply:bleh:

is that 9600gt gonna play alll the games present today....?

if you can stretch your budget then 4850 all way... you can play almost all games with playable quality with that card...and you will need a power supply to accompany that.

I don't think processor will be bottleneck here.

since you have a 17"CRT, doesnt amke a diff whether 8600 or 4670 or 9600 IMHO. i'd say get a 4670 and a better PSU

I'll see games from the "MANN KI AAKHON SE":bleh: :eek:hyeah:

4670@? Rs....:ashamed:

The processor WILL be a major bottleneck for any card faster than the 9500gt or 8600gts.I have a similar processor(Athlon 3800+) and it bottlenecks my 4670 massively.Combining a 4850 with that processor is completely meaningless unless you definitely intend to upgrade your processor in the near future.
In fact I doubt whether there will be any perceptible difference between the performances of 9600gt and 4850 on that processor.
Your techcom psu too would fail to run reliably any card higher than the 4670.

for which psu should i go,(u gonna make me sell my arm too:eek:hyeah: )then i have to say it like this I'M LOVIN IT.:D

let's feel the recession , SUGGEST THE toddu psu:rofl: to exactly suit my configuration........ as i am gonna add one more 1.5tb or 2tb. after getting rid of my 160 n 500 gb..:cool2:

Thanks for alll the replies

TE rocks....:bleh: :eek:hyeah: :) :hap2:

hi..looking at ur current config, if u plan to game on the 17" monitor, then the 4670 with a better PSU(Corsair VX450 would be a good investment for future, else if u cant spend so much then get the CoolerMaster), the 4850 would be an overkill

As u mentioned that in near future u ll be buying E8400 and 22", then here's what you should do :-

!) wait a while, Prices of HD4850, as well as 4870 are gonna slash as coz of launch of 4890

@) 8600, 4670 would suffice, but you get max juice on a 22" !

#) Sve some money, sell some more parts, Ge atleast a corsair 450

So, yr new rig is gonna be stable, and u ll fecth max juice outa it..!

You better wait, 4770 is round the corner, will cost @ 6 - 7k. if you are ready to sell legs, eyes, then 4670 + CM460 will do..:)

why don't you sell kidney, you can get monster rig..:p :p

:hap5: recession is a bad time to sell kidneys, i am saving kidneys for the boom time

then i'll sell one of my kidneys to buy back my eyes n a leg.:hap2: :eek:hyeah:
